Roy Greaves is a music educator, performer, conductor, composer, and arranger.

Until he retired in 2009, Roy taught music at Oakwood Collegiate in Toronto, a school well-known for its excellent music program. In addition to conducting many of the ensembles at the school, he also arranged and composed music for the students to perform. During his teaching career, he sang with the Canadian Opera Company, Opera in Concert, Tallis Choi,r and St. Simon’s Church Choir. He was also conductor and co-founder of The Assembly of Voices, a semi-professional choral ensemble.

Roy is a founding member of the Wychwood Clarinet Choir and chair of the choir’s Composers’ Collective. Since the group’s founding, he has been the editor of all music composed by the Collective, in addition to arranging and composing many pieces of his own for the ensemble. He was very pleased to work closely with Howard Cable as his copyist for pieces he had written for the WCC.

As Associate Artistic Director of the Wychwood Clarinet Choir, Roy works closely with Michele programming the concerts and rehearsing the ensemble.
